Folio3 helped AWI USA enhance their revenues by migrating their digital presence and launching ecommerce operations on NetSuite’s SuiteCommerce Advanced platform.
The AWI Group of companies are the leading wholesale distributors, Master Agents, Preferred Retailers and ePin providers in the wireless industry in the US, with offices, locations, and sales teams throughout the North east, Mid Atlantic and Midwest regions. They facilitate the distribution of wireless products and services for carriers such as Sprint, Boost, Virgin Mobile and AT&T.
The AWI Group had recently shifted their back office operations to NetSuite and wanted to migrate their existing static websites to NetSuite’s SuiteCommerce Advanced platform, so they could leverage the ecommerce channel for sales, while keeping both their front and back office in sync on the same system.
Folio3 migrated and launched the AWI group’s primary web store AWI Prepaid on SuiteCommerce Advanced along with several customizations, within the short span of 10 weeks. The new ecommerce site is fully integrated with NetSuite and enables visitors to browse and search for handsets, accessories and promotions offered by Sprint and place orders online, without having to visit a retail outlet. Customers can also view their order history, credit memos, invoices and other account records, which are pulled directly from AWI’s NetSuite account.
The customizations implemented by Folio3 comprised of features like full text search capability, custom shipping workflows, support for events and promotions and credit limit restrictions for dealers, among others
Thanks to Folio3’s efforts, the AWI group’s primary ecommerce site awiprepaid.com was made live within 10 weeks, well within their stipulated timeline.

The project is on-going with the Folio3 team working on the deployment of the AWI group’s second SuiteCommerce Advanced store along with providing support services such as scalability testing and performance analysis via Built-to-Perform testing.
